Joyce L. Washington, Director/Founder
Pastor Emeritus Joyce Washington is a highly respected and beloved member of the Hampton Roads Community in the state of Virginia. Ministering the message of God’s everlasting love and healing grace for over 28 years, she has earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theology at Christian Outreach Bible College in Fayetteville, NC. She is a great encourager, an attentive listener, and a spiritual advisor to both men and women of all ages. As founder, Pastor Washington desires to help individuals, couples and families overcome hardships and adversities with resources that minister complete restoration (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually) while promoting a healthy and productive lifestyle that will enrich the community. Pastor Washington is also the author of Secrets Behind the Veil, a collection of inspirational short stories that reveal the process of deliverance from life’s inner pains, secret hurts, and intimate feelings of various women.
Joyce Y. Jones, President

Joyce Jones is an entrepreneur and youth advocate with a passion for education. As an IT Systems Programmer and Professional for over 17 years, Joyce has served in the New Jersey and Virginia Public Schools Systems and educated youth in various summer camp programs. Ms. Jones’ commitment to serve and educate the community is reflected in her participation with church outreach ministries, community dinners, and coordinating group meetings that encourage the disenfranchised and minister the healing comfort of Christ. She desires that everyone experience the pure joy of an abundant and productive lifestyle.
Miracle M. Pettenger, Director
Miracle Pettenger is a wife, mother, author, speaker, entrepreneur, ordained prophet, and Apostle, and the founding pastor of Proceeding Word Apostolic Ministries, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA. She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Math/Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management. She has also earned a Doctorate in Theology from Regency Christian College of Orlando, FL. It is her outstanding 14-year professional service in IT and project management and over 20 years of ministry service and community outreach with youth and families of various cultures that fuel her ongoing passion for encouraging, motivating, and inspiring others to live a life with purpose and on purpose through the power of God’s Word.
Carmella Stephens, Vice President
Carmella Stephens is a devoted humanitarian dedicated to improving the well-being of underprivileged youth and families. Her local community service and participation in various outreach events allow her to operate in her divine calling and passion. Ms. Stephens finds great joy in serving others and to “help in any way possible.” She embodies the goal and mission of the House of Succor.
Melvina B. Huff, Administrative Assistant

Melvina Huff is a compassionate community activist with over 20 years of administrative support and secretarial experience. As an ordained elder, Mrs. Huff has provided food and clothing to the needy, encouraged the hopeless, and empowered the downtrodden with prayers of faith as a CBN Prayer Service Representative. She has inspired many with her acts of kindness and gentle words. Melvina’s favorite words of encouragement are, “Place your trust in HIM, and HE will bring you through because I am a living testimony of that.”
